The Australian Liquor Stores Association (ALSA) has announced that the Federal Minister for Health and Ageing, The Hon Nicola Roxon MP, will open its annual conference on the Gold Coast next month.
The announcement signals a major development in strengthening relations between the industry and the Labor Government.
Taking place from Monday, August 24 to Thursday, August 27, the new-look, shortened conference has adopted the theme ‘Seize the Opportunity’ for 2009.
Delegates will attend a series of business sessions and forums over three days which will have a strong focus on professional development and building a responsible, sustainable and diverse retail packaged liquor sector.
Informal networking sessions each afternoon will give delegates more opportunities to discuss how to take advantage of the latest trends and business opportunities identified in the conference sessions.
Registration for delegates is still open. For more information, click here or phone (02) 9247 8388.
