Entries are now open for the Electrolux Appetite for Excellence Awards, which will uncover Australia’s top young chef, young waiter and young restaurateur for 2010.

Supplementing this year's activity, is a series of industry talks from co-founder, Luke Mangan, key judges and past winners / finalists in capital cities throughout February and March, with Perth kicking off today (Feb 8).

Searching Australia for emerging talent within the hospitality industry, Electrolux Appetite for Excellence aims to inspire, support and educate future industry leaders, providing unique career opportunities and enviable prizes.

The awards have strong support from Australia’s culinary heavyweights, with a highly-acclaimed panel of judges, supporters and mentors including co-founder Luke Mangan, Tony Bilson, Tetsuya Wakuda and Peter Doyle.

“The program is all about delivering support and encouragement to young professionals working in all aspects of the hospitality industry. By continuing to reward and recognise outstanding levels of service, culinary skill and restaurant innovation, we hope to grow Australia’s hospitality industry from strength to strength,” Mangan said.

Entries close April 16. For details of the application process, click here.
