The Liquor Merchants Association of Australia (LMAA) will host a breakfast briefing at Crown Conference Centre in Melbourne on May 26 featuring a top Foster’s Group executive.

Initially CEO Ian Johnston was scheduled to address delegates at the event but he is now unable to attend due to travel commitments and has been replaced as guest speaker by Carlton & United Breweries MD, John Pollaers.

A spokesperson for the LMAA said Pollaers had offered to fill in and take the opportunity to make his first public address since taking up the position in early April this year.

Pollaers has extensive experience in the alcohol beverages industry, with his most recent role as president, Asia Pacific with Diageo, based in Singapore and working across 17 regional markets.

His appointment followed previous CUB managing director, Alex Stevens, resigning due to ill health on December 22 last year.

For the most convenient way to book and pay, go to the LMAA online payment facility by clicking here.

Bookings need to be finalised and paid at least seven days prior to the event.
