The Good Food and Wine Show comes to Sydney this Friday (Jul 16) promising to serve up a host of Australia’s finest food and wine offerings.
The show offers three jam-packed days of food, wine, coffee and kitchen gadgets with hundreds of stalls showcasing produce from around the world and live-cooking demonstrations from Australia’s favourite celebrity chefs.
With the unprecedented success of TV cooking shows recently, it’s no surprise that the Celebrity Theatre will feature cooking demonstrations by George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan, from MasterChef Australia as well as Pete Evans from My Kitchen Rules.
Australia’s top bartenders will go head-to-head at the show as they compete for the national title in the SKYY Vodka Global Flair Challenge, with the winner going on to compete in Barcelona in October.
New in 2010 is the Lindt Chocolate Masterclass, which will offer guests the opportunity to learn the art of appreciating quality chocolate under the guidance of Swiss-born Master Chocolatier, Thomas Schnetzler.
There will be wine tastings at the Riedel Wine Theatre and in-depth wine tutored sessions in the Riedel Decanter Bar, hosted by a panel of experts.
For cheese-lovers, the Cheesematters Masterclass is back again this year, served up by cheese guru, Naomi Crisante.
The Good Food and Wine Show Sydney will run until Sunday (Jul 18), for tickets contact Ticketek on 132 849 or go to www.ticketek.com.au.
