Bluetongue Brewery to host Beauty and the Beer Bash

By Andrew Starke

The much anticipated Bluetongue Brewery opens tomorrow (Jul 29) with a slew of celebrities and industry heavyweights on-hand to taste the first batch of premium beer off the production line.

Model Jennifer Hawkins will join entrepreneur John Singleton and the hierarchy of Coca-Cola Amatil, SABMiller and Pacific Beverages for the official opening of the Bluetongue Brewery in Warnervale tomorrow morning.

Present will be group managing director of Coca-Cola Amatil, Terry Davis; SABMiller MD Asia Pacific, Ari Mervis; Pacific Beverages CEO, Peter McLoughlin; MD of CCA Australia, Warwick White; and MD: licensed/alcohol Coca-Cola Amatil, John Murphy.

“Tomorrow is a really exciting day for all of us in the Bluetongue family,” McLoughlin told TheShout.

“We will bottle and taste the first of our Bluetongue brews through the new brewery, which is a significant milestone for us. We are also excited to share the moment with two other home-grown celebrities; Jennifer Hawkins and John Singleton, both of whom have made it to the top, but never forgotten their local roots.

“The new Bluetongue Brewery provides capability and flexibility to create great tasting beer, that will win the hearts and minds of Australia’s beer lovers,” he said.
