Forget Australia’s Next Top Model, local sparkling wine Omni has launched a national search to find Australia’s next top bar or bottleshop bachelor.

Now in its second year, the Omni Bar & Bottleshop Bachelor of the Year competition, is calling for eligible bar and bottleshop workers to enter on-line for a chance to win one of three tickets to the Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA) on Wednesday, October 20, along with a $10,000 grand prize.

To enter, eligible bachelors must simply upload three pictures of themselves, along with a short biography to the website, after which the public will vote on who they think should be Australia’s top bar and bottleshop bachelor.

Voters will also go into a draw to win weekly prizes, including iTunes vouchers, a Bose SoundDock and the a Sony 40” LCD TV.

Entrants can boost their chances of winning by exercising their ingenuity and charm and running their own campaigns using posters, flyers and social media to attract votes.

Entries and votes close on Sunday, October 3, 2010. To enter click here.

2009 winner, Jake May from the Gold Coast, said the ALIAs were a blast and the $10,000 didn’t hurt at all.
