One of Australia’s most respected craft brewers has jumped on the apple cart with the launch of a cider.
South Australian-based McLaren Vale Beer Company is releasing Dr Pilkington’s Miracle Cider this month, fronted by the enigmatic and mysterious ‘Dr P’.
Sourced, crafted, bottled and kegged in SA, the new product was created in conjunction with winemakers from Chapel Hill and enjoyed a very successful trial run to gauge market reaction.
The ‘Miracle’ tonic hints of the quality that’s come to be expected from its creator, boasting crisp, true apple flavours and refined acid balance, as well as promising to cure ailments ‘from ordinariness to fear of cats’.
Dr P’s will be available on tap nationally from mid-October and off-premise in 500mL bottles.
“Being a keen time traveller and purveyor or sensory partialities, it seems to me this is the beverage of the future. So refreshing and sophisticated. And so many miracle possibilities,” offers Dr Pilkington.
