James Squire this week launched The Constable Copper Ale, a deep golden English-style beer that comes in at 3.4 per cent ABV.

Previewed on tap in James Squire venues across the country, this permanent addition to the James Squire family of hand-crafted beers will be available nationally on tap and in pack from October 28.

“The Constable Copper Ale is brewed in the style of an English Ordinary Bitter. This is a classic British ale style that we’re very excited to share with Australian drinkers as they continue to explore the range of craft beers out there,” said Malt Shovel Head Brewer, Jeff Potter. [continued below]

With a deep golden colour and a rich creamy head, The Constable has a balanced nose of floral, citrus and earthy notes and a moderate hop-bitterness that lingers after the firm malt backbone.

“We have used a unique combination of malts and hops to brew The Constable Copper Ale. Pale, Munich and Crystal malts join Super Alpha, Topaz, UK Fuggles and Galaxy hops in a flavoursome, refreshing ale that we think beer drinkers will love,” said Potter.
