To mark the beginning of 2010, liquor company Bacardi Lion has announced a series of internal restructures, including the creation of a brand-new marketing role.

The changes have been implemented to ensure continued company growth and success.

The most significant change is the development of the role of marketing manager – light spirits, to which former Bacardi brand manager Kristie Asciak has been promoted.

Responsible for all white spirit brands, including Bacardi rum, Grey Goose vodka, 42 Below vodka, Eristoff vodka and Bombay Sapphire gin, this role will be a key support to Bacardi Lion marketing director, Suzie MacDermott.

“The internal re-structuring of Bacardi Lion’s marketing team is largely focused on optimising our brand management function,” said MacDermott.

“The new structure is a reflection of our growth as a business over the last three years and will ensure continuation of this performance in line with our future aspirations for the entire Bacardi Lion portfolio."

In addition to the creation of the new role, former Bombay Sapphire brand manager Fernando Navarro has moved to the position of senior brand manager – Bacardi Trademark, and will be supported by new brand manager, Alex Merry.

As well, Brad Richter is now the senior brand manager for vodka and gin, trading places with Demetrius Giouzelis who is now senior brand manager for liqueurs, Dewar’s Scotch and Martini vermouth.
