Foster’s Group has appointed Paul Conroy to the position of acting chief legal office and company secretary, effective July 3.

The appointment follows the previously announced departure of Martin Hudson and will remain in effect while Foster’s searches for a permanent replacement.

Compass Hotel Group has also appointed a new company secretary this month following the resignation of Sydney-based Regan Cheriton, who also filled the role of chief financial officer. The role has been taken over by Mark Maitland.

In a statement posted on the Australian Securities Exchange, Compass managing director Bryan Northcote said Cheriton’s resignation finalises the board’s plan to move the finance and administration functions of the hotel group to Perth alongside the operations team.

Compass shares were trading at 3.3 cents at 1:30pm today (Jun 19). Foster’s shares were trading at $5.18.
