Pernod Ricard has announced that Bryan Fry, currently managing director in the US, will be taking over from Julien Hémard in the Pacific region.

The company announced the appointment as part of a series of organisational changes as it seeks to simplify the Americas region, create two new “management entities” and create a new position of CEO of global travel retail.

Alexandre Ricard, chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard said: "Our organisation and ways of working must be fully aligned with our topline growth objective. Operational excellence is a prerequisite, with simplification and speed of execution the main drivers."

Fry moves to the Pacific region from the US, having initially joined the Orlando Wyndham Group in 1995. Following appointment to a series of positions within Wyndham, Fry was appointed as vice president marketing for Pernod Ricard Asia in 2006. In 2009 Fry became the managing director of the Brazil region, before taking over the US MD role in September 2012.

He now moves to the Pacific region and will report to the chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard Winemakers.

The company said that Hémard, who has been the managing director of the Pacific region since July 2014, will have a new appointment announced shortly. TheShout also understands that the Pernod Ricard Australia sales director Kevin Mapson has been moved to take over in New Zealand.
