The Clovelly Hotel buyer believed to be Tilley & Wills group
Solotel hospitality group have confirmed to Australian Hotelier that they have sold The Clovelly Hotel, with the formal sale taking place 8 October 2018.
Nick Wills’ Tilley & Wills Group are believed to be the new owners and have been contacted for comment. The Tilley & Wills hotels group also own Verandah and North Sydney’s Greenwood Hotel.
Australian Hotelier reported the potential sale back in July 2018.
Commenting for Solotel, Bruce Solomon, Director of the Solotel Group, said:
“Solotel have made a strategic decision to rebalance our portfolio for future growth, and invest in our freehold venues. This means we are unfortunately saying goodbye to the Cloey locals, who were a pleasure to serve over the past two years.”
Representative of the owners of the Clovelly Hotel, John Preston, added:
“We understand both the priorities of Solotel and the importance of the Cloey to the local community. We have a first class team to take the Hotel forward and the best times are ahead.”
