The Bols Gods of Flair flair bartending competition has kicked off, with the nine finalists arriving in Thredbo over the weekend (Jul 25-26).

For the next three days, the finalists, who were selected after two qualifying rounds held in Sydney earlier this year, will practice twisting and throwing bottles in snow, culminating in one spectacular final to be held in the Kosciusko Room at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel on Wednesday night (Jul 29).

Bols brand ambassador Michael Dackiw said that it was an absolute honour to have the finalists show such enthusiasm for the competition and the Bols brand.

“This is one of the most exciting flair bartending competitions Australia has seen in a long time,” he said. “For Bols to be involved in it is an amazing thing.”

The nine finalists, from Australia and New Zealand, include Ton Barbieri, Dan Farr, Jay Karanough, Ricardo Milhouse, Joao Paulo Rodrigues, Tee Rima, Robbie Stowe and Toby Hilton.

The winner of the competition will win an all-expenses paid trip to Amsterdam, including a ‘VIP Bartending Expereince’ at the Bols Academy.
