The Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA) are just around the corner and tables are booking up fast.

With two industry panels casting their votes on the finalists in each category within the Liquor Awards and the Hotel, Bar & Club Awards, the winners will be announced at the gala event in Sydney on October 22.

Key retailing figures from around the country have made up the panel of judges deciding on the top brands, products and suppliers of the past year.

These are not always about the biggest sellers but represent those with the best marketing, incentives, relationships and sales support behind the brands.

Meanwhile, on the Hotel, Bar & Club Awards front, prominent professionals from the on-premise sector have voted on the top performers in each category, resulting in one of the most tightly-contested awards in its 15-year history.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of National Liquor News, the evening, which is also hosted by bars&clubs and Australian Hotelier magazines, is going back to the ‘80s, complete with dancers, entertainment, flare bartending performances and a room full of industry guests ready to roll out their retro gear.
