The Lincoln, a premium Kings Cross bar that opened last year, has gone into voluntary administration.

The multi-million dollar venue has been staffed some of Sydney’s top bartenders, including ex-manager George Nemec, who was told by the new owners on Thursday that his services were no longer required.

“I am still in shock,” Nemec said. “I am not sure what I am going to do now.”

Under Nemec, The Lincoln has hosted some of Sydney’s top bartending events, including the NSW Woodford Reserve Cocktail Competition final and the recent ‘Rematch Beyatch’ speed-mixing competition.

A staff member at The Lincoln said the venue was still operating.
