Time is running out for local bartenders to get sign up for this year’s Bols Around The World competition, with entries closing on March 1.

The competition, now in its seventh year, involves three stages. Firstly, bartenders need to come up with an iconic drink using Bols liqueurs, Bols Genever or both. 

Competitors will also be required to complete an exam on the ‘fundamentals of bartending’ and create a short video presenting their cocktail entry. 

“The overall winner goes on an eight day global bar tour to four cocktail cities of his or her choice and all 20 semi-finalists win a second trip to Amsterdam for brand ambassador training,” said Beam brand manager, Cheryl Tang.

“It is time for Australian bartenders to carry on the legacy of taking out the global championship at the Bols Around the World 2013 competition.”

This year, Bols Australia’s brand ambassador, Jared Plummer, will be joining the International Judging Team representing the Australian and New Zealand region.
