Mixxit Australia has created an innovative movie animation experience for bartenders as part of its Mixxit Chronicles training program.

The Mixxit Chronicles animated film (see preview below) was launched in Melbourne on March 19. Sydney bartenders will get a chance to view the film at invite-only sessions on April 3rd and 4th.

Following the Sydney sessions, Mixxit Chronicles will travel nationally for the next two years under the guiding hands of Mixxit hosts Dylan Howarth and Jason Crawley.

Crawley said the animated film was designed to provide attendees with a global insight into the origins of alcohol and drinking rituals, which date back to the Palaeolithic period some 50,000 years ago.

“Mixxit Chronicles is a space and time travelling experience with nuclear punch rockets, jaw-dropping film, discombobulating music and loud screams," Crawley said.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola Amatil’s Formula bartender training application, which Crawley has contributed to, has now gone live on the Android App market place and Version 2 of the app will be launched for both iPhone and Android.

Version 2 features new drinks suggestions and videos, new spirit training videos and for the first time, the ability to share content with friends. To celebrate the new version and the launch onto Android, the app will be available to download free of charge for a limited time. To find out more, go to www.formulaapp.com.au.
