Beam Global Australia yesterday (May 6) expanded its Courvoisier Cognac collection, with the launch of a super-premium Cognac which would sell for around $300 a nip in on-premise venues and RRP $3,299 off-premise.

A blend of over 100 rare ‘eaux-de-vie’ from the Cognac region, L’Essence de Courvoisier is the result of four years of craftsmanship by Courvoisier Master Blender, Jean-Marc Olivier and his team.

It has notes of sandalwood and cigar leaves and a palate that can linger for up to 45 minutes.

Beam Global Australia brand development director, Sean Cook, said that it was a significant launch for the Australian market.

“Courvoisier is one of the world’s best known Cognac brands and is best recognised for its VS and VSOP marques. Through offering this ultra-premium product, the Cognac house and Beam aim to cement Courvoisier’s brand reputation as the leading, premium Cognac choice for discerning individuals who appreciate quality, style and creativity.”

Courvoisier partnered with iconic crystal-maker Baccarat to create the decanter, each of which is handmade and features a crystal stopper, inspired by Napoleon’s signet rings, and individually numbered.

Established in the early 19th Century, Courvoisier is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest cognacs.
