VDKA 6100 and The Drink Cabinet have launched “Drinks with De Niro” a new cocktail competition that will send the winning bartender, and a friend, to NYC to share cocktails with Robert De Niro and experience Manhattan’s best bars.
This vodka-based cocktail competition is designed to inspire ultimate creativity – you will be given a complete carte blanche, once a measure of VDKA 6100 is utilised, to create whatever kind of drink you desire. Create and add any compounds, liquids or textures you please – VDKA6100 wants you to bring you’re”Drinks with De Niro” a-game.
Jason Crawley, of The Drink Cabinet, says: “Despite the on-premise market growth and interest in craft gin and whisky, VDKA 6100 seeks to promote Australian bartenders understanding of this intriguing clean spirit category and illustrate its central role within consumer lifestyle choices and vodka’s rightful place in evolved venues.
“Moreover, it will be interesting to see how far Australia can push creativity, with what is now possible with the mix of technologies, access and experience in international techniques, classical thinking and high exposure to other cocktail inspired initiatives”.
Entries close on the August 19 with national finalists to be announced on August 25. The finals will be held in Sydney on September 5-6, with the winner travelling to New York in late October.
