Delegates at the Australian Liquor Stores Association (ALSA) annual conference in Perth heard from Coca-Cola Amatil’s (CCA) national category manager, Simon Elsby, yesterday (Aug 30).

Elsby explored the conference’s theme of ‘Convenience is King’ with a presentation on the convenience retail liquor sector and how delegates can develop their business into a convenience offering through occasion-based marketing, knowing the local market and merchandising.

”Most of the retailers in this room are great at buying, but as suppliers we need to help you become better at merchandising,” Elsby told delegates.

The conference officially closes this afternoon with delegates gathering for a gala dinner tonight at the conference venue, Burswood Entertainment Complex.
