After three action-packed days of bells, whistles and jackpots, the 22nd Australasian Gaming Expo wound to a close yesterday (Aug 23) at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.

More than 180 exhibitors took place in the show, showcasing their newest and wildest offerings to court the gambling dollar.

AGE organisers, the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), were very happy with the three-day event which exceeded last year’s result in terms of both floor space and visitors.

Attendance has increased each year, with strong numbers of industry professionals from around Australia as well as international delegates from Asia, America and Europe.

The flagship exhibitors were Ainsworth Game Technology, Aristocrat Technologies, Aruze Gaming Australia, Bally Technologies, IGT (Australia), Konami Australia, Shuffle Master Australasia and WMS Gaming Australia, collectively displaying over 700 new gaming machines as well as new games, software and gaming systems.

“Executives seeking to access the latest gaming products and innovations were genuinely enthused by the vast range of new products available and approved for the hotel market,” GTA CEO Ross Ferrar told the TheShout.

“It was fabulous to see such strong delegate attendance from the Australian hotel industry and to see the 22nd annual AGE once again be the cornerstone event for the display of gaming technology to the hotel market.”
