Imported direct from the Glen Ord Whisky Distillery in Scottish Highlands, The Singleton of Glen Ord Single Malt Whisky is positioned in between super-premium and mainstream whisky brands and represents the distinctive expression of the Single Malt currently coming out of the Distillery. The smooth, rich and balanced flavour profile will excite existing single malt Scotch whisky adorers while at the same time presenting a high-quality, easy-drinking malt to entry level whisky drinkers not seeking the overwhelming complexity often found in other malted whiskies.
The Singleton of Glen Ord has been a winner on the international spirits circuit for over a decade, with impressive results at shows including the International Wine and Spirit Competition and Monde Selection. It continues to excite whisky professionals with its flavour and approachability, most recently at the Scotch Whisky Masters competition in London where a panel of leading whisky experts deemed the 12 Year Old worthy of a ‘Masters,’ the highest trophy in the competition.
Fermentation of up to five days gives the whisky body and depth and slow distillation in copper stills and balanced maturation in European and American Oak preserves the pure taste and ensures a naturally smooth flavour. Deep amber in colour, The Singleton of Glen Ord has hints of juicy red fruits and almonds on the nose, with a gingery, soft and silky milk-chocolate smoothness and a delicious chewy almond toffee malt palate. The finish is long and fragrant with a touch of smoke.
Both on and off-premise stand to benefit from the launch, with consumer success linked to extensive sampling sessions. Both channels will be heavily supported, with on-premise provided with sales presenters, sample stock for tastings, coaster sets, glasses and decanters, while the off-premise will receive sales presenters, shelf wobblers and opportunities for great deals during the Christmas period.
