Retail Drinks has opened registrations and launched the agenda for its 2021 Liquor Retail Summit, to be held on 19 May.

After being postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, the Liquor Retail Summit will be held as a completely virtual online event this year, presented in partnership with Retail Global. The event website goes live today and registration is open to all in the industry, with Retail Drinks members able to register for free.

Michael Waters, Retail Drinks CEO, has unveiled the program for the Summit with the theme ‘building resilience through adversity.’ This will be explored in five key sessions: The Regulatory Environment; Data & Insights; Online Liquor Retailing; People, Culture & Alignment; and finally, Category Workshops. Sessions will be packed with informative and educational keynote presentations, panel discussions and workshops from a wide range of speakers across the industry and beyond.

Waters said: “To continue to succeed in business, we need the latest information, trends and ideas to help make business decisions.

“Retail Drinks’ Liquor Retail Summit gives members access to key insights and strategies designed to help their businesses run more efficiently and effectively, and will see business experts and industry leaders come together to deliver informative presentations and share their knowledge to reveal strategies and insights to help grow business and profits.

“It’s shaping up to be a cracking agenda, with a stellar line-up of speakers, kicking off with an Opening Keynote by Steven Bradbury OAM, Australia’s First Winter Olympic Gold Medallist & Co-Founder of LMS Brewing – a person no better placed or paced to exemplify our event theme of building resilience through adversity.”

The Summit will end with the Retail Drinks Industry Awards, an annual national awards event that recognises the excellence of the people and companies in Australia’s retail liquor industry.

Registration opens today for the industry, with the combined Summit and Awards online ticket priced at $500 +GST. It is completely free for Retail Drinks members – contact Retail Drinks to receive your promo code before registering.
