The Australian Hotels Association Western Australia has revealed the finalists for it 2017 AHA Hospitality Awards for Excellence, with the winners to be announced on 13 November.

The awards night will see 42 awards presented with categories including: New Venue, Cocktail Bar, Casual Pub Dining, Boutique Brewery, Social Media Activity, Sporting Entertainment Venue, Head Chef, Food and Beverage Services and Venue Manager. WA’s Best Steak Sandwich.

The AHA WA said it had a record number of finalists from across WA with represented areas including Karratha, Bunbury, Eagle Bay, Gidgegannup, Albany, Denmark, Mount Lawley, Perth, Northbridge, Wickham, Swan Valley, City Beach, Leederville and Hillarys.

AHA(WA) CEO, Bradley Woods, said the annual AHA Hospitality Awards for Excellence recognises businesses from across the industry including accommodation hotels, pubs, bars and restaurants, as well as employees, that have operated at a superior level and have achieved outstanding results in a particular category.

“Western Australia’s hospitality sector is fast-changing, and the venues participating in these awards are evidence that the hotel and hospitality industry is still achieving results during challenging times. In fact, they are working harder than ever to deliver world-class food, beverages, accommodation and service.

“There is tough competition in all award categories, and all finalists are deserving of recognition as they strive to create memorable and quality experiences for locals and visitors to our state,” Woods said.
