Applications are about to close for Board positions with the wine industry’s national statutory authority Wine Australia.

People interested in serving as non-executive directors on Wine Australia’s Board have until Friday 13 April 2018 to apply for Board vacancies that were recently advertised in the national press.

To be considered for the Ministerial appointments, applicants must demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following fields: grapegrowing, winemaking, marketing, technology, human resource management, communications, strategic management, finance, administration of research and development, law, business management and administration, government policy, processes and public administration.

Winemakers’ Federation Chief Executive Tony Battaglene said the applications are for multiple part-time, non-executive directors to serve the industry for a term of up to three years.

“Wine is a major Australian success story and Wine Australia’s Board has a significant role to play in supporting the ongoing development of our globally competitive wine sector,” Battaglene said.

Applicants must demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following fields:

  • Grapegrowing;
  • Winemaking;
  • Marketing;
  • Finance;
  • Business management and administration;
  • Government policy processes and public administration;
  • Strategic management;
  • Administration of research and development;
  • Technology;
  • Law;
  • Human resource management;
  • Communications.
