Melbourne-based East Ninth Brewing has released a new, limited edition Doss Blockos Dark Lager, with further one-off releases scheduled before the year is out.

Just 10,000 numbered 500ml bottles of Doss Blockos Dark Lager were produced with availability in the on-premise and independent retail outlets.

An all-natural beer, the new Dark Lager was brewed using five different malts (pilsner malt, crystal malt, crystal wheat, chocolate malt, and Caramunich type two).

"A beverage for those of a more discerning taste, Doss Blockos Dark Lager delivers pronounced tones of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, and a little burnt caramel as the bottom of your glass approaches," the brewer said.

East Ninth revealed it will be bringing out a limited edition Rare Pilsner in August or September.

East Ninth products are stocked at over 4,000 restaurants, bars and bottleshops around the country.
