Coopers Brewery is launching a limited-edition seasonal release, with a Hazy IPA which will be available in kegs and 375ml cans from August 17.

The Coopers Hazy IPA has an ABV of 6.2 per cent with 35-40 International Bitterness Units, and Managing Director Dr Tim Cooper said it was a hoppy, sessionable, easy to drink beer.

“It’s a softer, easy-drinking beer that fits comfortably within the New England IPA style as opposed to more aggressive West Coast IPAs,” he said.

“Hazy beers are attracting considerable attention internationally, with their distinct appearance in a glass making for interesting conversations.”

Coopers said its Hazy IPA uses protein rich malts, including wheat, combined with the liberal hop additions to form the hazy appearance.

The beer will be sold in four packs rather than six packs, with four packs expected to retail for around $22.

Last week Coopers announced the release of another limited-edition beer, with its 2020 Vintage Ale.
