16 July, 2018 by Andy Young

The 2018 Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) will see an extended seminar program, with new educational sessions looking at the future of the gaming industry in Australasia, covering topics related to new technology, gaming, hospitality, service, and the customer.

In addition AGE 2018 will also feature a Networking Zone, where business networking and meetings take place, with suites also available for private bookings.

Ross Ferrar, CEO, Gaming Technologies Association, said: “We’re making it easier than ever to make valuable business connections, with a range of networking opportunities and a dedicated Networking Lounge to bring together the whole gaming and hospitality community.

“We’ll be introducing new educational sessions to the event, with almost 3 full days of seminars on offer. That’s a whole extra day more than last year, with almost double the content,” he added.

There is also a First Timers Program, which will help those attended the Expo for the first time to get the most out of the event. This includes easily identifiable lanyards, a guided show floor highlights tour and an exclusive networking event.

The comprehensive seminar program will include a seminar specifically tailored to the interest of hotel visitors: “How gaming operations affect pub valuation”, being held on day three of the Expo.

Giselle Stollznow, Director, Stollznow Research, will also present the Stollznow Research Report into Australian Hotels.

This session will present the findings of a research report conducted earlier this year on Australian pubs. Some of the key findings from the survey showed that pub operators have a keen interest on social media, managing staff and food operations. The session will also look at the contribution that gaming machines contribute to the improvement of the hotel experience overall.

The 2018 AGE takes place at the ICC Sydney Darling Harbour, running from 14-16 August and details of the seminar program plus how you can attend the Expo are on the AGE 2018 website.
