Fever-Tree and Patrón combine for new tonic water
Fever-Tree and Patrón Tequila have joined forces to create a bespoke, limited edition mixer – Fever-Tree Citrus Tonic Water.
Featuring especially sourced citrus including Mexican limes, tangerines and bitter orange, this tonic water has been created to pair perfectly with Patrón Tequila. Australia has been chosen as one of the first markets for the glabal launch, along with America, Mexico, United Kingon, Spain and United Arab Emirates.
“This is an incredibly exciting collaboration. Consumers are searching for authenticity, taste & substance and both our brands have these shared values and joint ambitions,” said Fever-Tree co-founder Tim Warrillow.
“Provenance and using the highest quality ingredients is integral to us both and that is why, in developing our Citrus Tonic, we travelled across Mexico to discover the passionate producers growing the finest citrus fruits enabling us to create a mixer to perfectly complement Patrón Tequila.”
Fever-Tree Citrus Tonic Water has been designed to create a range of simple, long, premium mixed drinks aimed at challenging the way consumers think about tequila and tonic.
“It’s the perfect pairing between two pioneering brands,” says Lee Applbaum, Global CMO of Patrón. “Together we are recruiting new customers and changing preconceptions. It showcases the versatility of Patrón and mixability of Fever-Tree Tonic.
“Tequila and tonic is the new, refreshing long, tequila serve.”
“Simple, long mixed drinks are seeing a huge resurgence in popularity with both bartenders and consumers at home – and Fever-Tree, like Patrón Tequila, is incredibly versatile,” agrees Richard Cuthbert, International Marketing Director, Fever-Tree. “It’s made to pair with more than just gin – of course, Fever-Tree has been showing this side for a while now – our premium mixers are enjoyed with a wide range of spirits – but this bespoke collaboration is something brand new.”
Fever-Tree Citrus Tonic will be available for a limited time from select Rockpool Dining Group bars and restaurants including: Bar Patrón by Rockpool, Rosetta Ristorante Sydney, Saké The Rocks, Saké Hamer Hall, Saké Flinders Lane and through Red Bottle venues and online.
