James Halliday to open Wine Media Conference

11 February, 2019 by Andy Young

The Wine Media Conference, which attracts all those who write, photograph and video about the wine industry, has announced that James Halliday will open the conference on October 10.

Halliday is one of the leading observers and commentators on the Australian wine scene have written or contributed to over 70 books over the last 45 years.

The Wine Media Conference was founded in 2008 as the Wine Bloggers Conference and is described as the preeminent annual gathering for wine media. The conference normally takes place in North America, but for the first time is heading overseas, and will take place in the Hunter Valley from October 10-12.

As well as attracting those who write about the wine industry the conference is also a key opportunity for wine industry communicators who wish to learn from the content or to interact and make connections with the attending media.

The conference is supported by the Australian Government’s International Wine Tourism Competitive Grants program, administered by Wine Australia as part of the $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package, along with local support from Destination New South Wales, and cooperation from Wine Communicators of Australia.

Our conference will take place at the The Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, additional content and speakers will be added to the event website as they are confirmed and you can register to attend via the Wine Media Conference website.
