The new Extra Refreshing Ale from 4 Pines is now a member of the One Per Cent for the Planet global movement, which is helping businesses and individuals take responsibility for the environment.

The movement has over 1500 global members and has seen over $365m donated to non-profit organisations that work to protect and reduce our impact on the environment.

As part of this movement, 4 Pines will give one per cent of revenue from all Extra Refreshing Ale sold (on-tap and pack), with the funds being donated to Take 3 and Organic Matters Foundation, two organisations chosen by 4 Pines staff.

Todd Atkinson, 4 Pines CMO, said: “For us, it’s always been about making sure we leave the world better than we found it. We’re always asking, ‘how can we do better here?’

“As each year goes on, we’re learning of new ways to be a sustainable and community-minded brewery. We’ve been B-Corp certified for over three years, and now as a One Per Cent member, our support of Take 3 and Organic Matters Foundation will expand our positive impact.”

As for the beer itself, the team at 4 Pines said that since day they have brewed beer they want to drink and that their mates would be proud of and Extra Refreshing Ale ticks both of those boxes.

Chris Willcock, 4 Pines Chief Brewer said: “The brew team had fun with this one. We’ve always wanted to brew our version of a classic Aussie Ale.

“Brewing with local Pride of Ringwood and Melba hops gave us some of that classic taste, which defined a generation of Australian beer, with a modern hint of crisp summery fruit aromas.

“It’s been carefully designed for enhanced sessionability, and the fact that it gives back, makes us even more excited for people to try it.”

The 4 Pines Extra Refreshing Ale is hitting taps and bottle shops Australia-wide.
