Wild Turkey has added a new super-premium RTD to its portfolio, using a base spirit that blends a combination of Rare Breed, Wild Turkey’s highly-acclaimed Barrel Proof Bourbon, and its famous Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Bourbon.
Wild Turkey Rare and Cola is the result of extensive market research undertaken in Australia to create the ideal RTD for Wild Turkey fans, which included establishing a Facebook page for fans to get involved and start a conversation about Wild Turkey.
“For the past couple of years, we have had a very vocal, engaged group of consumers consistently requesting the ultimate bourbon RTD,” said Wild Turkey’s group marketing manager, Sally Byrne.
“These requests, coupled with the premium segment being the main growth driver in the bourbon RTD category, prompted us to develop this exciting new product.”
The Wild Turkey Rare and Cola blend was developed featuring a balance of one part Wild Turkey Rare Breed to three parts Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Bourbon, capturing the oak characteristics of Wild Turkey combined with hints of sweet citrus and spices.
“Wild Turkey Rare and Cola carries Wild Turkey’s quality credentials. As the product is positioned at the super-premium end of the market, it should be savoured to appreciate and enjoy the exquisite Wild Turkey Rare Breed base spirit which has won numerous awards, including a Double Gold Medal in the 2013 San Francisco World Spirits Competition,” Byrne said.
The new Wild Turkey Rare and Cola has an ABV of eight per cent.
It will be available nationally from October in both 320ml bottles and 375ml cans with an RRP of $26.99 for a four-pack.
