Billed as Australia's first national online mega-sale, 'Click Frenzy' launched last night, with liquor offers mostly limited to select deals from Dan Murphy's and First Choice Liquor.

Modelled on North America's Cyber Monday sale, Click Frenzy centralises hundreds of Australian online deals "in one location for one frenzied 24-hour period".

Launched at 7pm (AEDT) last night, the Click Frenzy site promptly crashed under the weight of traffic.

But the technical issues appear to have since been resolved, with the liquor offers revealing Dan Murphy's as the main backer of the concept.

Dan's offers include free delivery on a range of discounted spirits from Diageo, such as Smirnoff Black Label Vodka at $39.99, Tanqueray London Dry Gin at $37.90 and Johnnie Walker Blue Label at $159.90 per bottle.

The retailer's other offers include any six wines from the Jacob's Creek St. Hugo range for $149.

First Choice Liquor's more modest Click Frenzy offering excludes spirits, with just three wine offers, such as Taittinger Brut Reserve Champagne NV at $49, and a "classic mix" of six red wines for $70.

Online retailer my247deals.com.au joined in, offering six bottles of McGuigan Black Label Classic White for $25.

Tamburlaine Organic Wines, of the Hunter Valley in NSW, was the only liquor supplier to get involved in its own right, initially offering a 50 per cent discount on its sparkling wines.

But the winery pulled its involvement after the site crashed last night.

The sale ends tonight at 7pm.
