The rebranding of all Woolworths Liquor convenience outlets as BWS will be a major focus this year for Woolworths Liquor Group, which will also be ramping up its online operations, according to director Brad Banducci.

He told TheShout that the rollout of the new BWS brand is progressing well, with more stores to make the switch in the months to come.

"We launched the new logo in July last year and are gradually transitioning to the new format," Banducci said.

"We are also converting existing Woolworths Liquor Stores to the new BWS format, with a focus on creating Australia's best and biggest convenience liquor chain."

Banducci said that Woolies will continue to ramp up its online liquor retail business on the back of the successful launch of Dan Murphy's 'Click & Collect' last year.

"Online retailing is an extremely important area of focus, not just for Dan Murphy's but also for our rapidly growing Langton's and Cellarmasters brands. Dan's is already Australia's leading online liquor retailer, and we need to consolidate and build on this position," he said.

"In 2012, we rolled out our 'Click & Collect' service to every Dan Murphy's store across the country. Since its launch, this service has proven to be extremely popular with customers, with more and more people using this service every day. We expect online to continue to grow rapidly and to complement and support our in-store offering."
