Patrón has announced a new competition to with an exciting opportunity for Australia’s bartenders to get creative this year.

The Patrón Perfectionists Sculpting Ideas gives bartenders the opportunity to learn a new craft and win a five-star staycation. Bartenders can demonstrate their commitment to perfection as well as skill, expertise and craftsmanship by creating a perfect hand-crafted cocktail vessel.

In a statement about the new idea, Patrón said: “This year Patrón tequila will partner with local artisan Tantri Mustika. Tantri Mustika is a Melbourne based ceramicist who makes a range of light-hearted and colourful hand crafted ceramics.

“Her current collection of work incorporates a modern spin on traditional terrazzo tiling, applying it to bespoke functional forms making terrazzo adaptable to everyday life.

“Bartenders who are keen to create not only a great cocktail but their personalised vessel for it will be able to register to receive a customised Tantri Mustika ceramic starter kit. The kit contains everything they need to commence the process of learning a new craft along with some guidance notes and videos to help you get started with vessel design modelling.

“Virtual judging led by our Australian Patrón Brand Ambassador Joseph Chisholm will take place and the top 10 finalists who are deemed to have created the best hand built cocktail vessel and cocktail will take part in an exclusive session with Tantri where they can further develop their ceramic skills. The finalists will also receive a premium dining experience.”

From there a winner will be chosen who will continue to work with Mustika to finalise their design for production after which it will be used in exclusive bars across the nation. They will also win a luxurious staycation in their hometown.
