The Woollahra Hotel in Sydney has been sold to Public House Management for an undisclosed amount.

Hoteliers John and Sally Ryan purchased the eastern suburbs favourite in 2011 for $15 million, and is the first hotel from their portfolio they have sold since 1992. The off-market sale was conducted by Andrew Joliffe and Joel Fisher of Ray White Hotels.

“We are delighted to have been entrusted by our valued clients to have represented them on an exclusive basis,” said Joliffe.

The hotel includes Bistro Moncur, a restaurant that has been awarded one chef’s hat from the Sydney Morning Herald’s the Good Food Guide; a large terrace, two bars and a cellar that sells boutique wines.

The Woollahra Hotel is the fourth purchase from Public House Management Group – formerly the Waugh Group  – after purchases of Forbes Hotel, Buena Vista Hotel and the Royal Hotel, Paddington. Also part of the group’s portfolio is The Collaroy on Sydney’s northern beaches, which underwent major renovations at the beginning of the year.
