A new Spanish-themed tapas wine bar has opened in the Bulletin Place laneway near Circular Quay.

Tapavino is a visually stunning venue located in a heritage building that aims to establish itself as Australia's first sherry bar.

The range includes varieties such as Fino, Manzanilla, Amontillado, Palo Cortado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez as well as vertical vintages, with the venue also looking to receive some exclusive sherry allocations in the coming months. [continues below]

"I believe that Sherry is probably the most food friendly wine on the planet, and my job is to make Sherry sexy again," said owner Frank Dilernia.

Apart from the Sherry range, Tapavino also has a strong wine list that offers over 200 Spanish wines, with up to 70 available by the glass.

The food menu contains close to 50 dishes, including a number of daily specials, with an obvious Spanish cuisine influence.
