Somersby is helping retailers and consumers tackle the warmer months with the launch of two new flavours, Watermelon and Lower Carb.

Both products will be available alongside the existing Somersby range in stores across Australia this month.

The Lower Carb cider is Apple cider-flavoured at its core and comes in bottle and can pack format. The pome infused beverage contains 30% less carbs and 30% less sugar compared to its Somersby Apple Original sibling and is part of the ‘better for you’ option, developed by the Somersby team.

“We’ve closely followed the growth of the ‘better for you’ category over the last twelve months and had fantastic discussions with consumers about developing an offer in this space for Australia’s number one cider brand being Somersby,” said Michael Edmonds, General Manager of Marketing at Asahi Premium Beverages.

Watermelon will be the second fruit Somersby available, following the successful launch on Blackberry cider. . The light pink beverage combines a blend of apple and botanical aromas and is already proving popular, quickly becoming the go-to for summertime celebrations.

“New Somersby Watermelon has been the surprise of the summer, and really compliments our range. It’s fruity and refreshing and really evokes the feeling of summer,” Edmonds added.

The entire Somersby range, including these two new additions, is available at leading liquor retailers around the country.
