Audrey Wilkinson has released its 2016 white wines, which with the winery dating back to 1866, represent its 150th vintage.

This release includes three classic Hunter Valley varietals in Chardonnay, Semillon and Verdehlo. The winery describes the Audrey Series Chardonnay as ‘refreshingly crisp, while the use of French oak adds structure and complexity; the Semillon is a perfectly balanced wine with a long and fresh finish; and the Verdelho is a fruity, fresh wine, with a crisp, dry finish’.

‘These whites in particular have great intensity of flavour, and are definitely some of the best we have produced in recent years’ said Jeff Byrne, Chief Winemaker.

Also coming from Agnew Wines is the Poole’s Rock ‘Premiere’ range which has been brought out to complement their super premium ‘Single Vineyard’ range and which is now available in off-premise for the first time, having previously only being available for on-premise and the cellar door.

The Premiere range showcases the best wines from iconic regions around Australia. In addition to the traditional Chardonnay and Semillon from the Hunter Valley, the range also consists of Shiraz from McLaren Vale, and Pinot Noir from the Coal River Valley in Tasmania.

“It is really exciting to showcase some of Australia’s best wine regions and at $40 RRP, these are not only exceptional wines, but great value for money,” Rohan Beale, Head of Sales and Marketing at Agnew Wines, said.
