The Starve Dog Lane wine label has made a comeback with the release of five new regionally-focused wines.
Accolade Wines has relaunched the label with two collections. The South Australian Collection includes a 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, and a 2013 Shiraz, while the Regional Collection includes a 2013 Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris, a 2012 Clare Valley Shiraz and a 2012 Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Starve Dog Lane winemaker Nicholas Bowen said the South Australian Collection offers approachability while the Regional Collection showcases specific varietals.
“I’m really excited about the resurgence of Starve Dog Lane. The brand has always had a great reputation and strong following so we are committed to bringing this to life through our bold and quality driven wines, perfect for inquisitive wine drinkers,” Bowen says.
“The Starve Dog Lane wines have always done extremely well on the show circuit and have 20 trophies under its collar, so we’re hoping to continue these great results in these future vintages.”
The winery also has plans to expand its range down the track, with a vintage Chardonnay Pinot Noir sparkling on the cards along with and a benchmark release that will showcase the best of the Adelaide Hills.
The Starve Dog Lane South Australian Collection has an RRP of $14.99 while the Regional Collection has an RRP of $19.99.
