Tapanappa Wines, the South Australian winery headed up by Brian Croser, has announced that Terroir Selections will take over its distribution from next month (July).

Tapanappa, launched by Croser in 2002 in conjunction with Bollinger and Lynch Bages, is managed by Xavier Bizot and Lucy Croser, who also own Terroir Selections.

Until now, Terroir Selections has primarily focused on the importing of French labels for the high-end on-premise market.

According to Croser the new agreement is a natural step in the relationship between the two companies.

“Terroir Selections will be able to create synergies between its high-end imports portfolio and Tapanappa wines, which is a great opportunity for Tapanappa,” said Croser.

Along with the Tapanappa portfolio, Terroir Selections has also taken on the distribution of Italy’s Ceretto label and France’s François Lumpp label.

Terroir Selections’ Bizot said the addition of Tapanappa was a valuable addition to its portfolio.

”The inclusion of Tapanappa in our expanding portfolio will open new opportunities for Terroir Selections, in particular in the off-trade sector,” said Bizot.

“It was an evident evolution in merging the distribution arm of Tapanappa with our own importing business to give our customers ease of access to a more complete portfolio.”
