Beam Suntory is looking to make the most of the increasing popularity of Japanese spirits with the launch of three Shochu Highballs specifically created for Australia.

The Koyomi Highball is a bespoke highball featuring Shochu, Japan’s most popular white spirit and is becoming increasingly known as the up and coming, easy drinking spirit.

“Australia’s alcohol market is rapidly evolving, and as consumers are surrounded by choices, they are searching for a unique, new product, both inside and out,” said Beam Suntory Director of Innovation Kay Oh.

“Koyomi Highball embodies the cool, modern and sophisticated factor of Japan, making it one of a kind. Blended with Shochu, and popular Japanese flavours, Koyomi Highball provides a unique drinking experience that transports you to Japan.”

The eye-catching premix cans come in three flavours:

  • Blood Orange and Bitters
  • Mandarin and Grapefruit
  • Yuzu and Lime

The Koyomi Highball will come in 250ml cans, each of 4.2 per cent ABV. Available with an $18 RRP per four pack the three flavours will be available at all leading liquor stores from August 2019.
