Argyle Hospitality has installed Alfresco Outdoor Electric Heaters in both the Lowenbrau at the Rocks and the Bavarian Bier Café at Manly Wharf.

With the new smoking laws being introduced, outdoor heating became essential to cater for smoking customers.

Bavarian Cafes have solved their outdoor heating problems by installing Alfresco Electric Radiant heaters in the outdoor areas of there venues. The heaters are now manufactured in Australasia especially for the Australian and New Zealand conditions.

The Alfresco outdoor heating system incorporates a specially designed quartz heating element that produces safe infrared radiant energy. Radiant energy is only absorbed by solid objects and is not wasted heating the air. In addition, Alfresco heaters emit no harmful ultraviolet rays.

Electric infrared heat is remarkably efficient and is cost effective. Over 90% of the energy is converted directly to radiant heat. Since there are no open flames or carbon monoxide emissions mounting clearances are minimal, infact the infrared can be recessed into a ceiling, or even mounted close to sail cloth and awnings.

The main features of Alfresco outdoor Heaters, which made the Argyle Group to choose the Electric quartz heating system, were:

  • Low initial cost and maintenance free
  • Energy efficient with low operating cost. 0.44 cents per hour for 4000 watts
  • Suitable for Indoor and Outdoors
  • One Infratech Heater can cover four square meters.
