Vale Dry is Australia’s first unfiltered dry lager, brewed by McLaren Vale Beer Company.
It’s already been voted Australia’s top lager, coming in at #9 in the annual Local Taphouse’s Hottest 100 Craft Beers of 2010 (its stable mate Vale Ale was voted #1).

It’s a crisp, dry and mildly hoppy lager, having an alcohol content of 4.5%. Some live yeast cells from the secondary fermentation will remain, thus giving a natural cloudy appearance.
Vale Dry is brewed with 100% malted grains, including the use of some wheat malt to deliver superior flavour and mouth feel.

The brewing process has been modified to include an extended fermentation, which produces an exceptionally crisp and dry beer.

A combination of noble hop varieties produce a crisp bitterness as well as some hop flavour.
Bottles of Vale Dry should be rolled before opening and poured into a large glass.
Enjoy!
