Tim Philips from Sydney’s Hemmesphere has been crowned the 2012 national World Class champion for the second time in a row.

Philips, along with nine other top Australian bartenders, competed in three days of cocktail challenges earlier this week as part of the national finals to decide who will be representing Australia in the World Class global finals that will be held in Rio de Janeiro later this year.

After winning the national World Class title last year, Philips headed to India to compete against 34 of the world’s best and although he didn’t win, he managed to place in the top ten.

Canvas Club’s Angus Burton came in second and The Roosevelt’s Philip Gandevia came in third.
