We are currently in the middle of a really pivotal moment – both for the hotel industry and for Australian society in general. With some states having practically eradicated COVID-19, pub operations have opened up so much that it feels like we are not too far off normal trade again. And yet, with a resurgence of cases, greater Melbourne has now been shutdown for a second time. So are we moving forward or backward?

It seems that the return to normalcy will not be as straightforward as we hoped, and pub operators will have to remain nimble in their operations, planning for any scenario.
