Coopers launches Live, Loud and Local
Coopers has launched Live, Loud and Local an entertainment series that brings together venues with their patrons during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The series launched over the weekend, hosted by Joel Creasey and Myf Warhurst, also saw celebrity chef Shannon Bennett teaching audiences how to make pub favourite meals at home.
Coopers is partnering with key hotels across Australia which are “virtually” opening their doors to host the events. Pubs include Leonard’s House of Love in Melbourne, Coopers Original Ale House in Adelaide, the Sandbar in Perth, The Great Northern in Byron Bay, the Coogee Bay Hotel in Sydney and the Storey Bridge Hotel in Brisbane.
Live, Loud & Local will showcase some of Australia’s A-list entertainers and direct people to the Facebook pages of their local pubs.
All gigs will be interactive with prizes to be won each night. Coopers will give away jugs of beer and meals at pubs, redeemable when they re-open.
Cam Pearce, Coopers Director of Marketing and Innovation, said Live Loud and Local would bring together Coopers’ hospitality and arts industry partners to try and make life a little more normal during the current period of lockdown.
“As we watched our partners in hospitality and the arts respond to Coronavirus, we were inspired by their tenacity and willingness to overcome the challenges it presented,” he said.
“From pubs pivoting to bottle-shops and takeaway restaurants, to comedians and musicians moving on-line, we wanted to create a platform where we could highlight and celebrate their tenacity to innovate and succeed.”
Live and Loud is supported by Live Nation Entertainment and Events division, which will ensure some of the best music acts will be on board.
Coopers is also supporting its pubs and other customers by encouraging the return of kegs from trade for a refund, at a cost of nearly $4 million. Additionally, it is working with their customrs to provide tangible support when pubs reopen their doors.
