Fraser Short, CEO of The Sydney Collective, announced that his venues will be doubling the value of the NSW Government’s Out and About vouchers upon use.

All eight Sydney Collective venues – including Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel, The Imperial Erskineville, Park House, Northies and Republic Hotel and Taylor’s Rooftop  – will double the value of the $25 Out and About dining and entertainment vouchers issued by the Government, giving patrons $50 worth of value per voucher.

The Berejiklian Government announced on 17 November  that NSW residents aged over 18 would be eligible for four $25 vouchers – two for dining and two for entertainment – in a bid to boost trade for the industries most impacted by the COVID pandemic.

“Our industry’s been hit among the hardest in 2020 and we want to support our local communities who have been instrumental in keeping our businesses alive. Plus, we want to see people out having a good time again. We’ve all doubled-down during lockdown and now you can double-up supporting your local,” says Short.

A trial of the Out & About  vouchers scheme will begin in December, with the full scheme to be implemented in early 2021. The vouchers are available via the Service New South Wales app.

Some block-out periods and conditions will apply for the double-value use of the vouchers within The Sydney Collective venues, which will be announced once full details are released from the state government.
